It is okay to talk with your therapist during your massage, but it is also okay to just “check out” for an hour. We abide by this motto: “It’s your massage.” Spend the hour however you like. It is perfectly fine if you just zone out and relax. You won’t be seen as rude or uncaring if you just allow the therapist to do their job for the hour. Some people reach such a relaxed state that they fall asleep for the hour.

Most people do completely undress for their massage, including all undergarments. You will be completely covered at all times by a blanket and sheet and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
However, it is also completely normal to keep on your panties or briefs during the massage. It is completely up to you and the massage therapist is always respectful about your choice.
WHAT IF I FALL ASLEEP AND DROOL OR SNOR?
It is very common to become so relaxed that you fall into a deep sleep during the massage. Some people may even worry about drooling or snoring! This is very common. It is also the signs of a great massage that the massage therapist was able to get you so relaxed!
WILL THE MASSAGE THERAPIST BE THERE WHEN I UNDRESS?
Absolutely not! The massage therapist will leave the room in order for you to undress to your comfort level and to get under the top sheet and blanket.
SHOULD I TALK DURING THE MASSAGE?
We like to say, “The hour is yours to spend as you like.” Some people like to chat with their therapist during the session, but more often than not, people like to relax and “zone out.” It is not rude or uncommon to remain silent during your session. In fact, some people become so relaxed that they fall asleep!
Sometimes during deep tissue and therapeutic sessions, more communication is needed. The therapist will be checking in often in regards to the level of pressure and areas of concern.
It is important to let the therapist know if you are in pain during the session. It is perfectly acceptable to ask questions and talk during the massage, but it is also appropriate to simply receive the massage and remain completely quiet during your session.
I'D RATHER SEE A FEMALE THERAPIST. SHOULD I REQUEST THIS?
It is perfectly acceptable to request a female therapist. It is well known in the massage industry that very often, women prefer female therapists and men often have a preference for female therapists as well. As you become a more seasoned massage receiver, you may open up to the possibility of a male therapist. Many people who at first wanted only female therapists find that once they try a male therapist, they actually enjoy the additional strength and pressure a male therapist can offer.
THE PRESSURE ISN'T DEEP ENOUGH, BUT I DON'T WANT TO INSULT THE THERAPIST'S TECHNIQUE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
What Aches Mobile Massage has very experienced therapists who want to provide you with the best possible experience. Even the best and most skilled therapists cannot always provide a great session without a little help from you. Many people think that they have to take whatever massage is given to them. The fact of the matter is that the therapist is eager to match the style of massage you are here for. The key to getting the best massage is communication – yes – speak with your therapist and let them know what would make it a great massage.
We know that the most important aspect of a massage is the pressure. We like to think there are three basic levels of pressure:
b. Medium Pressure
c. Deep Pressure
